    1. Yeah wish you could have made it man! Sorry to you and everyone who couldn’t make it because of the short notice. I feel bad about that, but honestly this time of year in Bodega you kind of have to take the good condition windows when you get them. People probably wouldn’t have been that pumped to run the event in gale force conditions that are typical for alot of the month of April. Would have looked bad too if I tried to wait for my injury to be better before running it!

Anyway gotta give props to Wyatt for making the trek from SC to Bodega two days in a row. Probably not easy after skimming like 5 hrs yesterday, so definitely earned it.

Also major props to everyone for skimming really well despite the tricky conditions (looked alot easier than it was I’m sure). The final results were super close and so difficult to decide the ranking. Well actually in my opinion the top 3 were pretty well defined, but the remaining 4th through 8th spots had little to no separation between people. We ended up kind of having to look back on first round performances to decide a few tie breaker scenarios.

David would have won if it were a winch contest for sure. He got a few sick one’s! Gotta bring that thing back when there’s more swell….

      1. I think you were totally right to run it, that’s the whole purpose is to run it when we think we’ll have the best chance, regardless of who can make it, or who’s hurt (you!). Completely righteous call, well done.

  1. Ya, still can’t believe that it cleaned up as much as it did at the end. It was hot walking back too the car.

Good times, everyone skimmed really well.

I can barely walk and when I do its a hobble.

  2. Oh yeah and much respect to Kevlar for bringing a canopy to shelter everyone’s stuff from the rain (even though it never really rained much) and for building a scorching bonfire to keep everybody warm down there. Pretty sure that was a life saver for all the skimmers. Also should note that he was the oldest person out there and he was the last one skimming even after everyone left.

    1. Yes. I did. I still have it. should I hold on to it for you? Otherwise i’ll recycle it.RROWF!
